You have the right to dispute inaccurate credit information yourself, for free. Clearline is paid for analysis, prioritization, drafting and case management — not for access to a right you already have, and never for a guaranteed outcome.
1. What Clearline is — and is not
Clearline Credit provides consumer credit analysis, education and advisory work, and consumer-directed dispute workflow assistance. You remain the consumer of record and you direct and review the disputes filed on your behalf.
Clearline is not a lender, bank, credit union, credit bureau or consumer reporting agency, debt collector, or law firm. Clearline does not provide legal advice and does not represent you in legal proceedings.
2. No affiliation with the bureaus or government
Clearline is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Experian, Equifax, TransUnion, any other consumer reporting agency, or any federal or state government agency. Any bureau names used on this site are used only to identify the source of a report.
3. You can dispute directly, for free
Under federal law you have the right to dispute inaccurate information on your credit reports directly with the credit bureaus and with the companies that furnish the information, at no cost. You also have the right to a free copy of your credit reports.
Clearline charges for the analysis, prioritization, drafting, tracking, and case management work — not for a right you already have. You may stop using Clearline and continue on your own at any time.
4. Scores and reports differ by source
There is no single credit score. Lenders use different scoring models (for example FICO and VantageScore versions), and each bureau may hold different data about you. The score you see in a consumer app can differ from the score a lender pulls on the same day.
For that reason, Clearline works from the report data you supply and treats scores as directional indicators, not as guarantees or targets.
5. Bureaus, furnishers and lenders decide independently
Whether an item is corrected, updated, deleted, or verified is decided by the credit bureau and the furnishing creditor — not by Clearline. Whether you are approved for credit, and on what terms, is decided by the lender using its own criteria.
Timelines are also outside Clearline's control. Investigations commonly take about 30 days, and can take longer.
6. No guaranteed results
Clearline does not guarantee any score increase, the deletion or modification of any specific item, credit approval, financing, or any other outcome. Any figures shown anywhere on this site are illustrative and are not a prediction of your results.
Clearline will not promise the removal of information that is accurate, current and verifiable, and will not advise you to make false statements or to create a new or separate credit identity.
7. Your responsibilities
- Provide complete, accurate reports and supporting evidence for your own credit file.
- Review dispute materials before they are used or sent.
- Continue paying obligations you owe; disputing an item does not suspend a debt.
- Tell Clearline promptly when a bureau or creditor responds so the next round can be planned.
8. Credit Analysis vs. Dispute Automation
Credit Analysis is a one-time engagement: Clearline reviews the reports you submit and delivers a written findings package with a prioritized action plan. It is analysis and strategy, not dispute filing.
Dispute Automation is billed per round. Each round covers preparation and tracking of a set of consumer-directed dispute items, and continues only for as long as you choose to run additional rounds.
Debt Resolution and Credit Monitoring are described on this site as future services. They are not currently sold or delivered.
9. Billing and cancellation
Pricing shown on the site applies to new purchases; the price in the service agreement you sign controls for that purchase. Clearline's current cancellation window is five days from signing — see the Cancellation Policy for details.
10. Questions
If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to understand exactly what your engagement covers before signing, write to support@clearlinecredit.net.
These baseline policies describe how the Clearline Credit platform operates. They do not replace the service agreement you sign before any paid service begins. If the signed service agreement gives you greater rights, that agreement controls.
